I loved the charm of this small, quaint hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Location was excellent for getting to the main sights in Rome.
The noise from the streets may be a problem for some people. I wear ear plugs since my husband snores so it was not a problem for me.
The hotel was fantastically situated. very quiete although area very busy and noisy. rooms are cute and well decorated, staff is very friendly. ! I ll be back !
Lovely staff, big rooms and very comfortable. Good facilities and a nice atmosphere.
Grafetti on walls in general area ... but that just seems to be a feature of Rome, and not fairly representative of local residents.
Tucked away and a little difficult to find initially, Casa De Diori was in a fantastic location next to the Campo De Fiori. The room was perfect. Spotless, beautiful original floors and furniture with lots of little modern comforts like sky tv, safe and fridge. Breakfast was simple but delicious and cappucino lovely. We loved the common room with piano. The staff were friendly and always helpful. The stairs were the only killer but you couldnt help but love them. I would definitely stay here again when in Rome.
Great location and a perfect bed. For Italian standards a pretty decent breakfast and they make hot beverage of your choice - which is not the case in some more upmarket hotels.
Air conditioning is a little loud although effective.
The location is great. We could see the action of Campo De'Fiori from the room, but the new windows entirely shut out the noise, and the air conditioning worked great. The free wi-fi also worked very well.
Location and a/c
Check in is one flight up from ground level
The location of the hotel in Rome was excellent. Just steps from the front door was the Campo dei Fiori with its wonderful daytime market, many, many restaurants and evening swirl of activities. It is ideally situated close to many historic sites. It is clean and comfortable with a very nice sitting room and a nice morning breakfast.
The location was fantastic. We were walking distance from most of the main attractions. Also, the Campo De Fiori market is immediately outside of the rustic hotel.
There is no elevator and a circular staircase has to be negotiated, which is not a problem for most people. However, if you have very small children or are elderly this may be a problem. Also, the noise at night (especially on the weekend) may be problematic. The hotel is not easy to find and a driver can be arranged with the hotel for pick up at the airport (worth the 70 euro).
The Hotel was central and walking distance for all the major sights in Rome - 20 minutes to both the Vatican City and the Colosseum for instance. The continental breakfast was good with plenty of fruit, cereals, yogurts, cold meats, cheeses, pastries, hot and cold drinks. The staff were helpful, spoke excellent English yet were unobtrusive. The room was not huge, but was spotlessly clean with air-con, safe and power shower. My wife found the bed hard - I slept like a log!! A little noisy especially on Saturday night, but hey you're right next to a busy and bustling piazza. We would definitely stay here again.
If you struggle a bit with spiral staircases you might not like this as there is no lift.
Reasonable room rate for family of 4 adults
Noise from location near Campo dei Fiori throughout the whole night
The location was fantastic. You are right next to Camp de Fiori and all the sights of Roma are in walking distance. The breakfast was good and Francesca served a good breakfast with a smile every morning. This area is the best place to stay in Roma..........I think.
The toilet made a noise when flushed so could not be used at night and the lights came on in the middle of the night waking me up. I have no idea why the lights would come on for no reason or why the toilet wasn't fixed.
Very charming small and familiar hotel. Very nice, clean and spacious rooms with view to Campo dei Fiori, very gentle and helpful staff. Perfect location in the very middle of the historical Rome, short walking distance also to Trastevere.
The room is big, clean, authentic, comfortableand great to be in.the staff was walcoming and helpfull.
The room was on the third floor + no elevator- its was difficult to lift the luggage ( even though the staff suggested their help..)
Very comfortable room and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Good location in terms of central to places of interest.
